This is a charming 16th Century cottage just 50 yards from
the harbour’s edge in the ancient
village
of
Bodinnick
. It has been carefully updated to preserve its ancient beams and
character whilst also providing very comfortable modern accommodation.
The Old Ferry Inn, ferry to Fowey and superb Hall Walk are all within a
short walk of the cottage.
Blue Cottage has two bedrooms on the first floor.
One has a 5-foot double bed and the other has a single bed. There is also a toilet with washbasin on this floor. On the ground floor there is a storm porch with arched door opening
into the large living room. The living room has an inglenook fireplace (with modern wood-burning
stove), colour television, video and CD/tuner. A few steps lead to the well-equipped kitchen that has an electric
oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washer dryer. The small bathroom adjoins the kitchen and has a bath (with shower
over), toilet and washbasin.
There is oil-fired central heating and the cost of this and
electricity is included in the rent. At the front of the cottage is a tiny garden with a bench seat and at
the rear an enclosed patio.
About 30 yards from the cottage there is a hillside garden with a
summerhouse and superb views over the harbour. Steep steps approach the garden and although railings surround it, it is
not suitable for children.

The Old Ferry Inn is within 50 yards and the shops in Fowey around ¾ of a
mile via the ferry. You can stop outside Blue Cottage to unload. Parking
is normally available in the village within a few minutes walk of the
cottage. Slightly further away is a small free car park.
A well behaved pet may be allowed by prior arrangement.
