This
pleasant bungalow is situated only 50 yards from the water’s edge, near the
ancient Blockhouse that once guarded the harbour entrance. From the property, there are superb uninterrupted views of the whole
harbour looking upstream towards Bodinnick and across to Fowey.
Shrimp also has the advantage of a generous patio area overlooking the
water and a sloping garden that goes down to the harbour’s edge. The village shops, inns and the ferry to Fowey are all within easy
walking distance.
Shrimp
has two bedrooms. One has a double bed, views over the harbour and patio windows leading to
the garden and the other has two single beds. The shower-room is small but nicely equipped with an electric
shower, lavatory,
washbasin and heated towel rail. There
is a good-sized living room with excellent harbour views from the patio windows
and additional windows to the side. The living room is comfortably furnished
with a sitting and dining area, colour television and video. The galley kitchen
is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker and fridge.
Additional storage and preparation space is available adjacent to the
kitchen and there is also an automatic washing machine.
Night storage heating and all other electricity is included in the rent.
A telephone is provided for incoming calls only. All bed linen is
supplied.
Outside,
there is a level patio overlooking the water with plenty of room to sit. Steps lead from the patio to the garden that slopes down to the waters
edge. There
is no direct access from the garden to the water.
Due to the proximity of the water, we suggest that this property may not
be suitable for children under 8 years of age. Parking
is available in the car park around 500 yards from Shrimp.
It is possible to get within 50 yards of the property to unload.
