Place Mews once housed the coaches and horses from nearby Place, the family home of the Treffry family since the thirteenth century. They now provide two entirely self contained apartments, the larger is permanently occupied but The Tack Room is available for holidays all year round. The character of the building  has been carefully retained and sunny cobbled courtyard is screened by high walls and is a pleasant area in which to sit.  Being near the centre of Fowey, it is only a few minutes walk from the property to the quays, shops and harbour.

The Tack Room is a large ground floor studio apartment tastefully furnished to provide a high standard of accommodation for two people. There is a large living area, a well screened bedroom area with a double bed, a bathroom with bath and shower over and a well equipped kitchen with built-in electric oven, gas hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and microwave. A welcome bottle of wine is provided in the fridge.  Bed linen is supplied.  A colour television, video and stereo CD player are provided.  There is gas central heating and the gas and electricity are included in the price. Parking is provided for one car.  One small well behaved dog may be accepted by prior arrangement.
